Hours of Operation
Typical hours of operation are Monday – Friday from 9am to 3pm. Closed all weekends and holidays (although communication outside of these times may be possible but should not expected).

Blog/Website Platforms
I am currently only designing for blogs using the Blogger platform. If you are using Wordpress, Typepad, or another platform, I am sorry to say I can’t be of assistance at the moment. This also applies to the pre-designed layouts for sale on this site- they are only compatible with the Blogger platform.

Ordering & Payment
Penny Lane Designs accepts payment through Paypal only. Paypal is easy to use, very secure, and you do not have to be a member or sign up for an account to use it. When you submit an order, I will typically send an invoice within three business days. If I am exceptionally busy, I will sometimes send all invoices at one time on a certain day of the week. It will never take longer than seven days for me to get back to you though, so if you do not hear from me, please email me again to make sure I received your initial order. As soon as your payment is received I will begin working on your design.

Installation
Upon your approval of the blog design, I will need to have access to your blog for about one hour (sometimes less time, sometimes more) to install the design. If you are worried about giving me your login info, don't be. It is deleted as soon as I am finished with it and believe me....the LAST thing on Earth that I have time for or would be interested in is poking around in your account. If you are still worried, we can talk and perhaps work something else out that you feel more comfortable with. I have had a couple of clients invite me to be an "administrator" on their blog. To find out how to do that click here. I will not email template or html codes so that is not an option.

Your Initial Order
I will not begin a project unless I feel I have enough information to get a good idea of what you are looking for in a design. Although I wish I was a mind reader, sadly, I am not. This is why I need each client to take a little time to think about what they are looking for and convey that information to me in the order form. I have set my order forms up with plenty of questions and suggestions to "jog" your brain a little. I will not begin a design if a client has told me to "surprise them" and that they "don't know what they want but will like whatever I show them". My idea of what is great and appealing may be very different from yours and I do not have time for these types of projects because these are usually the ones that end up taking the most time for me (due to changes, tweaks, etc. on the client's side). Additionally, if you send in an order form with certain colors, etc. and then totally change your mind on colorways, design style, etc. when I send you the proof, an additional fee will have to be charged to make these drastic changes. I want to make sure you are happy with the design, but I simply cannot be held responsible for indecisiveness.

Changes & Revisions to Initial Blog Proof
Once I have sent you the initial blog design proof, you are allowed a MAXIMUM of three reasonable revisions (if needed) to the design. Additional revisions will incur a charge of $15 per revision depending on the difficulty and complexity of the revision. This also applies to an installed design. After I have installed your design, revisions can be made for a $25 per revision charge.

Refunds and Cancellations
I understand that things may come up and you may need to cancel your order. If I have not yet started working on your design, I will be glad to issue you a 80% refund. If I have already started your design, I will issue a 50% refund. If your design is already complete or near completion, no refund can be issued. I reserve the right to terminate a project if I feel that I am unable to complete certain things that are being asked of me or if unreasonable requests or an unreasonable amount of change requests are being made by a client. If this is the case, I will issue a refund based upon the amount of time already spent on the project.

Technical Support
Due to the number of blogs and projects that I am working on, it is not feasible for me to provide technical support or to “teach” anyone how to use their blog. There are tons of resources on the internet to help with this, and honestly, they can probably explain things much better than I can! If you come across something that you don’t know how to do, try doing a Google search of your question. Chances are, you will be able to quickly find the answer and learn how to do just about anything if you just have a little patience. Blogger has a great “Blogger Help” resource that can get you started. You can visit it by clicking here. If there is something specifically related to the design that you need help with, I will be happy to assist you, but other than that, you are responsible for learning the ropes of blogging on your own. I have found that Blogger is one of the easiest and most ‘user-friendly’ blogging platforms out there, so it shouldn’t be too hard!
